Angel Stadium (Los Angeles Angels)

Los Angeles Angels

A ballpark that typically favors the pitcher, this year is no different as it currently ranks 17th out of 30 in terms of offense. As mentioned in the write-ups for the Dodgers and Padres, SoCal simply does not “heat” up in terms of temperatures as compared to ballparks in other locales. Thus, the ranking of 17 may drop down a bit over the coming months. A meteorological factor is that a marine layer often invades the LA Basin after the sunsets. What this does is drop the temperatures while raising the humidity a bit. In general, this is a more dense air mass that does not allow batted balls to travel very well.
